Indeed Job Search installs quickly and supports sign-in with an existing Indeed account or a Google credential. The welcome flow encourages uploading an existing résumé or creating one with the in-app builder, making the profile immediately visible to recruiters.

Interface and usability

A minimalist layout centers on a large search bar, recent searches, and suggested roles. Tabs for Search, Saved, Applications, and Profile stay visible at the screen bottom, so navigation never feels buried. Scrolling through lists is fast with no noticeable lag. When a listing directs to a third-party career site, the switch to an external browser breaks the otherwise fluid experience.

Job search features

Indeed adds roughly 12 jobs every second, giving the app a deep pool across industries and seniority levels. Filters for location, salary, posted date, job type, and remote options shrink the catalog to something manageable. Each posting displays company ratings backed by more than 700 million reviews and salary ranges from a database of 1.1 billion entries. A Recommended section tailors results to search history and résumé content.

Application management

For listings supporting Indeed Apply, a single tap submits the saved résumé and contact data, sparing users from repetitive form filling. The Applications tab logs every submission, shows status updates such as “Viewed,” and pushes notifications when an employer responds. Employers who never follow up remain in the list, and there is no current mechanism to discourage that behavior.

Performance and reliability

Within the app, page transitions and filter changes are smooth. Crashes are rare. Issues surface mainly during external applications where forms may fail to populate or advanced fields glitch. Synchronization between mobile and desktop is solid for saved searches and résumés, yet jobs begun on a browser do not always appear in the mobile history.

Privacy and data practices
